Yes, Literacy
Desember 13, 2018
Have you ever imagine the academic achievement, how
critical you are in responding to a problem or how much changed you’d be making
in this world if the number of books you read is more than the book you've been
reading now. For me, if I’ve been read
all of the books that exist in this world I have become the queen of this world.
Why am I saying this? Because I believe that book is a transportation between
myself and my success despite the fact that I believe book is a bridge for the progress of
this nation.
literacy culture is an activity to perform the habit
of thinking followed by a process of reading, writing that in the end what is
done in a process of the activity will create a new invent.
Invent, The work, a culture that will create a work
of art. Indonesia is in a precarious situation requiring its young to discover
a new thing to develop this world and one of the way is read a book.
Reading
will open our horizons, broaden our view of a problem and read will take us
free to travel back to the past or fly out to the space. The world is a book,
and those who do not travel only read a page. That's what Agustinus a roman
philosopher who convinced that the book is the world. The book is the world and
if you want to master the world then read a lot of the pages in the book.
Therefore we need to improve students' skills in
reading books, increasing literacy awareness because we must realize that
literacy will save us. We are the youth . We are the future leaders of this
world and the book is our ammunition that sets us up for battle to build this
country in the future.
I am willing to go to jail as long as I am
accompanied by a book. because with a book, I am free. That is what Mohammad
Hatta said. The hero of Indonesian independency proclaimer, said in his letter
when he was detained by the Dutch for his anti-colonialism act that is
considered by the dutch as dangerous. I have to agree with this statement.
Everyone knows the book is the window of the world, even someone who has to be
in prison will feel free because of a book.
Because a book is the door for those who are
trapped. However, What is in his mind will freely roam and discovering new
things. This is why reading is a very lucrative activity because it can take
you to the land of China and it will bring you back to your true self. Even
sometimes, book will find our true colors. So read a book as much as you can
because it will take you high free and save your life from this cruel life.
